No signal iPhone 7 plus

I Was able to find an iPhone 7 plus black, worked well all day went to sleep and next morning no cell signal actual message was No Service. Tried resetting network services, remove the SIM card, resetting the phone. Tried same sim in another phone and it works. Seems to be a similar,at issue to those with the airplane mode issue. Now there is no stock of the phone I want and I'm stuck with a dead paper weigh. Any ideas?

I had same issue (dropped coverage while using navigation apps).

Verizon Wireless (and Apple) finally knows this is an issue. They said Verizon and Apple working on it. For now, the solution is to turn off HD Voice (go to Settings --> Cellular --> Cellular Data Options --> Enable LTE --> Data Only)

Once they fix the issue, you can switch back to Voice & Data

I made this change and it worked! No more dropped coverage while using navigation apps with my new iPhone 7

I can use Waze without any issues with my new iPhone 7

Unfortunately this does not seem to work as a fix on AT&T. I have tried all the: LTE off, LTE data only, and LTE voice and Data settings over and over again and none of them fix the No Service problem.

My 7 shows No Service about 70% of the time in all the areas where my 6+ gets 2 to 3 bars and has fine connectivity. In a very strong signal area, it will suddenly pop up with service and show 5 bars LTE, but even there the speed and connectivity are terrible with SpeedTest showing Down Load Speed of 0.7 Mbps and Up Load Speed of 0.07 Mbps. Ping times are bad to just ok 842 ms to 83 ms.

This is my second iPhone 7 as Apple already swapped it once.

I am going to Apple Store tonight after work to try and get a second swap, on the theory that this is still only effecting some iPhone 7's and not all of them.

Seems like hardware issue to me, possibly the antenna bands that doesn't exist anymore with combination of a poor internal components, i had returned mine today. Will wait for a few weeks or just gonna get an iPhone 6s instead, I wish I never sold my beloved 6 , was working great without any problems for almost 2 years. There are so many complaints about this problems that trouble might be bigger than anyone expect, hopefully not and software update can fix it but I don't want to wait.

Have the same exact issue: iPhone 7 plus 256gb Verizon black. Preordered the phone got it on September 21st and after a few days no service drops to 3G and stays there until network reset or airplane mode toggle. Went to Verizon on the 23rd got a new SIM card and after a few hours the problem came back. Next day went to Apple told them about the problem they did a device swap which had to be ordered because there was no stock and on the 27th I got the replacement phone first day it was completely fine but the second day all the problems came back this time the phone has a hissing sound as well.. so on September 30th brought the phone back to apple along with the box and they said they can get a me another replacement and I declined it not knowing if its refurbished or not and asked for a refund but the genius didn't want to refund since the serial number is different than the box. Luckily i chatted with Apple the day before and had the email and talked to the manager and finally returned the device. Back to my iPhone 6s now and no problems with service even with VoLTE on. Miss the iPhone 7 plus size and stereo speakers but I'll wait until all the bugs and hardware issues are fixed before I order again!

I have this problem on my iPhone 7 (Verizon) and its really irritating and I almost got lost somewhere in Cleveland because of it.

Per the poster on this thread I changed voice over LTE to "Data only" and it seems to have resolved the problem.

Well, the problem isn't actually resolved but its a work-around that works, at least for me.

Update: It's been two weeks now since I first reported this to Apple. I have sent Apple the cellular logs that captured activity for 48 hours. They also took a diagnostic report that was sent directly from my phone. I've reset to factory new settings, swapped two SIM cards and it's still happening. Just today I was asked by their engineering team to swap my SIM with another SIM that is also active on Verizon (I used my the one from my wife's iPhone 6s) and the problem still occurred.

Judging from this forum (and others), many people are experiencing the same problem, but Apple still hasn't nailed down the cause -- or hasn't revealed a solution to their AppleCare team. Honestly, I don't know how widespread the issue is, but I would strongly suggest calling AppleCare if you're experiencing the problem so they can get a good idea of how many others it's affecting. Is it hundreds of people, or thousands? I have no idea.

For now, on drives where I need GPS, I've changed the LTE setting to Data Only and it seems to temporarily resolve the problem.

I am on my 3rd iPhone 7 with my fingers crossed. So far, an hour in it is still showing lte service. I am on AT&T and since day one have been loosing service and only seeing the No Service indicator. Once in a while the phone would perk up and show either 4G with Five empty circles, or full bars LTE for about 20 min but would still not pass tragic to and from the internet.

Apple replaced the first, launch day phone and the second one started the same thing after only a few hours.

Just got back from my 4th Apple Store visit and they gave me another new phone and so far so good. The Genius said it is a known issue that they are working on a software update to fix.

My problem never went away, even with LTE on data mode, off or voice and data.

One thing I have thought about is each phone came with iOS 10.0 installed and soon after testing and setting it up, I updated it to 10.0.2. On a hunch, this time I left it at 10.0. And so far so good.

I hope this third phone is either a better hardware, or keeping it on 10.0 will solve it until they can release 10.0.3 to fix it for good.

So it is not just Verizon, but also AT&T that is effected. Also the mentioned temporary work around of turning off LTE voice did not fix it for me.

Definitely is a wide spread as we have same problems here in uk , already saw a similar report from Australia too, seems like many if not all of the first production are affected. If software update fix it will be happy days but if it's a hardware issue with the antenna or Intel chip inside than recall is need it. I am sure that some users will never find out that their phone has this problems but for the average or heavy users it's a serious trouble. Went to Apple Store in London talked to some of the guys there and they knew nothing about it.

Same problem in Pittsburgh, Pa. iPhone 7 plus 128gb Verizon. Phone shows no signal. Will not find a signal unless I shut it off and turn it back on. Called Verizon they suggested turning lte to data only. The problem is that once you do that you can no longer talk and surf at the same time. Verizon sent the issue to their tech people to work on. I considered replacing the phone but there are non in stock locally.
