hello there,

I hope I'm at the right place because don't find a topic concerning e-mail address !

Is it possible to do something (ask Apple?) to delete the link between an old email @mac.com and current ones (@me.com or @icloud) ?

my problem is that I'm bombarded with tons of adds on my old @mac address! and only with this address. Because "apple" addresses are linked (mac,me & iCloud) I get these F... adds on my current @me address !

Is there something to do?(ask Apple to erase each mail on my @mac.com?

thx a lot & long life to apple's community

The @mac.com and @me.com addresses are not 'aliases' in the sense of the additional addresses you can create or delete, so the Help link posted above is irrelevant.

The three addresses are inextricably linked and you cannot delete the @mac.com one. What you can do is to go to http://www.icloud.com, go to the Mail page, click the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose Rules, and then create a Rule moving all messages addressed to the @mac.com address to the Trash, from where they will automatically be deleted after a week.
