External display scaling

I have a 2015 Retina MacBook Pro with an external 4k display (Asus PB287Q) and since updating to Sierra yesterday, I can no longer select scaling "resolutions" that are between 1920x1080 and 3840x2160. HD is way too big, 4K way too small. Please let there be a solution to this... I tried rebooting, and it actually brought back the correct options until I closed the lid, and now they are gone and won't come back.

This is what my display properties look like (alt-click Options):

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), macOS Sierra (10.12)

I just downloaded the .1 beta 2 and can confirm this release fixes the display issues I've been having. Hope this helps.

Yup, I too can confirm 10.2.1 public beta 2 fixes the external display issues. Finally!

Yay! Was too busy, missed the new beta coming out. Maybe we made enough noise for them to fix it.

I have a similar issue (even with the alt-click). My 2560 x 1440 resolution is not available anymore when my MacBook Pro is connected over HDMI to my iiyama Prolite B2783QSU.

Specs:

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013)

Iiyama Prolite B2783QSU

Running Sierra 10.12 (16A323)

In addition. I'm playing ESO and it has become a total lag fest. Seems Sierra video drivers are not up to par overal.

Just describing all the symptoms in the hope it helps. A newer OS should improve and not degrade my system.

I have same problem and it started when I first time closed MacBook Pro while connected to external P2715Q.

Until now I used both screens all the time and everything was ok, now the 2560 resolution is gone 😟

Is there a known fix for this?
