Tried to update iPad to OS10 and "verify update" has been spinning for over an hour 1/2, and unable to to either slide to open or to turn iPad off.
iPhoto '11, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), Updated iPhoto for OS 10.10.3

If you are sure its stuck press & hold power button & menu button
Hold both down until you see apple logo
This may take 30 seconds .
Have you got enough space on ipad for download you need about 4G?

It worked with force quitting (I was not aware of doing that before) and also I do not enough space to upgrade to the newer OS on my iPad. Thanks for your help.
