Is anyone having trouble using Apple Pay at Whole Foods?

I could use my debit card that is open and active via Apple Pay at Whole Foods in January 2016. Since April 2016 I have not been able to use Apple Pay at Whole Foods. It looks like the transaction is going to go through and then it is denied. "Card not recognized". Then I am able to use the actual plastic (same card) and pay for my merchandise by swiping the card. I am able to use Apple Pay at other locations with the same device and card at other locations. Any one else experience this?

Do you do this first before holding your phone up to the terminal? I've been holding the phone up first then it will ask for a PIN, after which the cashier will say it has been denied.

Chick-fil-A and a doctor have been the easiest as I just hold the phone up and nothing more is needed.

Hi

If you are not already doing so, Apple advises that, if you need to choose Credit or Debit on the terminal when paying via Apple Pay, you should always choose Credit - even when the actual, underlying card is a debit card.
