My Sierra install has not completed. So far it's taken seven hours.. Has anyone had these problems?

I faffed about for about 9 hours trying to get anything to work, including keyboard commands.
What finally worked was a 4 key solution...
Command-Option-P-R Reset NVRAM. Release the keys after you hear the startup sound again.
This caused / cancelled the stalled install and I got back to my original position after 2 reboots.
it took 24 hours for me and after that the computer which is not that old did not run good. I believe it was because the computer did not have a ssd hard drive. So basically I ended up duel booting it with Ubuntu and I am now using Linux -- why because it runs way better than Mac OSX. I still have Sierra on the hard drive if I need it but don't really miss it.
I'm try my MacBook Pro 2017 to make factory default. When i start try to install, it's show 6 minutes. I think that's not bad and I should try. But about 1/6 of status bar and said "about 5 minutes remaining" it's stuck, from now on it's been take about 2 hours... 😟 😟 😟. when I saw replies of this topic. I still have hope.... till morning... good luck to myself.

Mine took about 3 hours to download and then the actual installing was fast. I think there is still a lot of people trying to access this app.
Installation , all depends upon the network speed , it took 13 hours me to download , but was installed successfully .
