I can't publish changes - i-Web says it has been published but the site remains unchanged. It used to work and I have my own server rather than the old apple one. I am on Sierra 10.12.3 on a 2011 macbook pro. Is there a get-around - I have tried it on different days and numerous times without result?
iWeb is on the list :

So there's no need to use Everweb.
For my own experience, I had to stay at OS X Yosemite, because the version after the OS X Yosemite gave me too many errors on iWeb, particularly when uploading the Websites.
So my recommendation is: stay at OS X Yosemite or below to don't have errors at iWeb.
iWeb is launching on Sierra, all panels and menues are working on my mac, the domain file seems to be read correctly.
The media Browser is showing iPhoto, Aperture, iMovie '09.
Looks good.

Run it and post the report here. Maybe we can help your find what is wrong with you Mac.
I have had lots of issues with iWeb and Yosemite where the last time I opened the program up, it had lost all the pictures I had created for links with the wording which you used to be able to be enter within the various Shapes. As a workaround I had used screen shots of a file version of my iWeb project which I opened in Safari to get the screen grabs. Now they are all lost reporting on opening that the graphics cannot be found. With that occurring only last week I was VERY wary of upgrading to Sierra.
So can those who are using iWeb in Sierra confirm if the problem with Shapes with text entry still continues or has it returned to functionality. I am pleased to see Leonie says that the iWeb Domain file is reading correctly.

No data here yet, but probably soon.
I just updated my OS to Sierra from 10.7.5 on my MacBook Pro - 2012, deciding to try it on the MacBook before updating the OS on my iMac in case it wouldn't work with iWeb. Why is there nothing else like it out there? It seems so simple. Anyway, I had no problem opening iWeb and making edits in Sierra. I did have a problem uploading to my server, as you guys have noted. The test connection came up as an error a few times, but it did eventually succeed once, which made me think my Firewall was the cause of the problem, so I changed the security to Low (on Xfinity) and iWeb uploaded the changes to my server without a problem. I'd delayed updating my OS only because I needed iWeb that badly since I load mostly mp3's to my website, without a problem on iWeb. No other web app seems to know what to do with mp3's, at least not as simply as iWeb. Anyway, if it worked for me hopefully it'll work for you. BTW the server I upload to is Misk, if that makes a difference.
I should add that mp3's (which is what my web site is all about) don't function because iWeb uses QuickTime 7, which is not supported in Sierra, unless you make plugin changes in Library, which can compromise your security.
Here's the link to explain that. If your web browser says that it's missing the QuickTime plug-in - Apple Support
I should add, if it matter to anyone else but me, my web mp3 pages work fine in FireFox.
I personally don't know, because I just stayed with OS X Yosemite. The OS after Yosemite, for me, had some big bugs on iWeb, particularly when uploading the website.
In fact I just realise all the changes have been published - except for the Welcome page! I can't seem to get around that at the moment...
I had that too with a QuickTime movie in iWeb so I made it into a YouTube and provided that link within the webpage
I had the same issue with an embedded QT movie, and now have my videos linked to YouTube instead of embedded... works well, though you need to coordinate between the sites...
