Bluetooth audio stuttering on Sierra

Correction , it might have helped a little. If I continue to have problems I will try and completely reset bluetooth.

Turning off "Allow Handoff" in general settings seemed to work for me as well. I don't have an iPhone so this is an ok solution for me. If I had an iphone I would probably not want to disable this.

Sam issue as soon as I upgraded to Sierra. Same bluetooth device streams without issue on iphone6 and iPad Air2, only when using my iMac does this happen. Re-pairing does not solve.

I am on macOS Sierra, and having the exact same issue with my Amazon Echo. All is good until the Magic Keyboard is paired, then the audio stutters.

After over a year of similar trouble had success with Terminal command:

sudo killall coreaudiod

Anyone else still having this issue? It is occurring when I bring my phone close to my Macbook - if they stay seperated - all is OK.

From what I read on the blogs a dongle is not a reliable fix. Frankly, Apple needs to get their act together.

Bluetooth debug tried several times including restart to no avail. I wish it was a fix but unfortunately not

I have had this issue several times. Sometimes it is solved but then it returns. I believe this to be the best fix.

That did the trick for me!
(Don't forget to reboot after resetting the Bluetooth module.)
