iphone voicemail issues iOS 10

I have an iPhone 6s with the new iOS 10. When I click on a voicemail it often closes as soon as it opens. I get a glimpse of the transcription but don't have time to even click Play before it closes. This will happen several times before I can actually view it and/or listen to it. I quit the phone app and reopen it but it still happens. Then other times a voicemail opens as it should. I've turned the phone off and on many times, and I've reset the network settings, but still have this issue. Any solutions?

I downloaded the New iOS Update today, Version 10.2 thinking that the issue would be fixed. NA NA ... still the same results. Very Disappointed to say the least. I think they are worried about their New Campus more than fixing bugs in the iOS 10 Software and making their flagship phone work correctly. I have had a iPhone since version 3s :-( .

To think maybe a moderator from Apple would see these posts.. HA

Hello everyone: had this also with 10.2 and found this, which worked for me (my message were entirely gone and are now all back.): To check, dial your phone number from your iPhone. Call your iPhone from another phone and try to leave yourself a voicemail. Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset Network Settings. Contact your carrier and make sure that you have the voicemail feature on your plan.

I have this same issue of the screen flashing out after a few seconds with both the voicemail and with the Google Calendar app and have spent hours on the phone with Apple (including one technician who spoke to me like I was 3 years old) and at the store. This was a problem that existed on my 5s and I was advised by T-Mobile that upgrading to a 7 would resolve it so I upgraded. Problem is still there so they decided that I must have brought a glitch into the new phone via backup and restore. So they recommended that I set up as a new phone which I did (and which took hours given that I have many apps and they are all organized into folders which I had to re-do). Guess what - problem is still there. I tried the Reset Network Settings and that made no difference. Surprisingly, Apple acts as if they've never heard of this problem. I will go back to the store on Thursday and see if anyone can help.
