iphone voicemail issues iOS 10

I am also having the same issue. iPhone 7 plus. Everything up to date. I've tried everything to no avail.

Not sure if this is the short term fix people are talking about but after having that issue, I chatted with a support tech who had me reset all settings. This appeared to fix the issue. On your Iphone go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings.

I tried this last night 11/28/16 as your directions suggested to reset the phone without erasing data but still the same issue. I am sorry to say this is horrible and very frustrating. I do agree that the Transcription in Voicemail could be the culprit. This never happened before that feature was implemented into iOS software. I too wish there was a way to turn it off. VERY difficult to listen to voicemail and delete voice mail, messages always Jumping around or not responsive or instantly closing / blinking. There must be MANY more people out there that have this issue. PLEASE HELP. Running iOS 10.1.1 (14B100) on a iPhone 6s.

Thank you for retracting, I hope apple takes down your solution and recognizes this is a serious problem. As a realtor my messages are directly linked to my livelihood and this problem caused by iOS 10 has already cost me more than once.

I am having the same issue ... among others. I am also having a problem with one-way audio (completely at random, but frequently occurring), as well as issues related to my phone, vm, and contact apps locking up. I finally found an article acknowledging my audio issue - clearly these problems are not isolated. Apple, please help!!

Same problem(s) for me on voicemail. I use my iPhone (as I have for more than 8 years) mainly for business purposes. This is an unacceptable problem for me if I want to remain reachable by my clients and colleagues. In fact, it has me wondering about switching device manufacturers for the first time. Maybe Android has truly gained the edge. Come on Apple...get with the program here and fix this issue.

I am having the same VM issue on 10.1.1. Verizon had me reset NW and no help after an hour on the phone with support. They want me to wipe the phone an do a fresh install. No way! Obviously with all of us having this issue, this is a bug Apple needs to fix.

If calling the carrier does not help solve the issue like some have mentioned, you can try "setting up as a new phone". Found this on a different thread. Apple needs to fix this issue - it is such a pain!

I'm having exact same issue it's extremely annoying. Apple?!?!?!? Seems there are a lot of users affected.

Same issue for me. Loss of basic VM functionality was not worth updated emojis. Sloppy execution by Apple.

I'm having the same issue ever since upgrading to iOS 10. I have a iPhone 6s on Verizon right now. It's been 4weeks so far trying to work with Verizon on solving this issue and another one about receiving delayed voicemail notifications on the phone. Still no good answer to solve this.

Maybe someone can contact news media to get some attention on this?

I am having the same issue as well. I miss work related voicemails all the time. People are not happy when you don't respond to their messages in the business community. Very embarrassing. The only workaround I have found is that every day I have to turn my phone off and then back on and then the voicemail messages will finally be delivered. I am a beta user and I was hoping that there would be a fix for this already. Interestingly enough my wife and daughter do not have this issue and neither does anybody else at work .

I had this problem with my iphone 5c, which I just turned in today for a 7. I thought the problem would resolve with a new phone, but no (all the stuff from the old phone was moved to the new phone). So the glitch continues. Definitely started when I downloaded ios 10. Am now at 10.1.1. I am hoping--expecting--that Apple will come up with a fix for this soon. Very frustrating to try to open up voicemails.
