I use a Seagate Backup external NFTS drive. After updating to Mac OS Sierra the drive is simply not recognized at all. I tried it on a different MAC with El Capitan and works fine. Any solution?

try opening Disk Utility and see if it 'sees' your drive.
if it does 'see' the drivr then go to the finder preferences and deselect Hard disks and External Disks in the menu.
Reboot your Mac.
This sequence worked for me.
What third party software do you have to add NTFS support to Mac OS X?
Has this third party software been update for Sierra?
Why don't you simple reformat the disk drive to HFS+ which is the native file system for Mac OS X?
It was really about the compatibility software that wan't updated. Thanks anyways.
