Could not connect to apple tv from MacOS Sierra

Hi,

I upgraded my Macbook Pro (Retina Mid 2012) to MacOS Sierra. When I'm trying to connect to apple tv by clicking on AirPlay icon and click on my Apple TV it asks me to insert a passcode!!! The Apple TV shows a passcode and I use it but it gives me this error :

Could not connect to "Apple TV"

I upgraded my Apple TV to the latest tvOS (10.0). And it gives me the same error.

I tried to turn on passcode and password on Apple TV from AirPlay Setting but same error. Turned it off, same error.

Please help.

Switching bluetooth off did not help.

Creating a new test user worked. Now to figure out where the problem preference file is....

Have you tried creating a new user to test it?

Unfortunately, mine started working for no apparent reason. I wish I knew what the culprit was.

That being said, there are several "airplay" entries in keychain that you could try deleting.

Try disable the Firewall and try. Hope it works. For me it helps 🙂

This worked for me. The upgrade turned off my bluetooth.
