Is there a way to disable calls made in apps like whatsapp and viber from appearing in recents in the phone app?
iPhone 6s, iOS 10
I have this same problem! I'm just going to disable the imo app. As that's the main reason to have the app so calls go directly there and not inside my phone call log.

I am an apple fan but I do really consider this as a privacy offense.
I do hate to be disturbed, that's why I have not got any notification enable.
Telemarketing is now making phone to my iPhone using whatsapp.
Please allow the customers to disable VoIP service in settings.

when you agree to the terms and conditions of the app, it says that you agree to whatever the app developers integration is. If you dont like the integration then Skype is the only way. Also there is nothing private about incoming and outgoing calls as your provider has all these calls logged and Viber, Skype, etc has their calls logged too
Have you tried disabling Whatsapp's notifications?
If you want this to change you need to tell Apple - we are just other users & cannot alter anything…

****!! Tomorrow I will change my apple to an android phone . Always worse than before.
I couldn't find any way to stop it . Why they made integereted calling ? !?!
A month and a half later the only app, that I have seen, that has the option to disable this integration is Skype.
If that is a setting in the app you may want to contact WhatsApp, VIber & any others you use to see if they can also add the setting. It may just be an oversight.
Use the support link for each app in the store page (or if there is support in the app).
Apple made this feature to be controlled by the app developers/providers as there is no global switch in the settings..yet as of iOS 10.2
This is a privacy breach BTW Apple.
