How to delete subscribed calendars on iOS 10?

I can't find a way to delete subscribed calendars on iOS10, there's no delete option from the calendar app, nor from the Mail or Calendar settings and these calendars are not synced with my Mac so I can't delete them from there either. Does anybody know how to delete a subscribed calendar on iOs 10?

I have not been able to deleting a subscribed Canadian Holidays Calendar in iOS10.

I have deleted it from my Mac, but have had no luck deleting it from my iPhone. It is listed in the Other section of the calendar, not the iCloud or Facebook section.

There is no delete button in Calendars App and the calendar I want to delete does not appear in the main Settings/Calendar/Accounts area.

Any ideas?

The problem is that the calendar I want to delete doesn't appear on the list of calendars at Settings/Calendars or in the list of accounts at Settings/Calendar/Accounts. I can't imagine that we would have to use a Mac that's set up to sync in order to delete unwanted calendars. I do have a Mac, but at this point I want an iOS solution as a matter of principle!!

Followup question: the subscribed calendar I want to delete is a calendar of a subset of world cup races put out the racing organizer, and I subscribed by clicking on a link they provided for that specific calendar. Problem is that the unwanted calendar is burying three other calendars from that organization.

I'm just trying to avoid having to paw through the next four months of my calendar to click on each of the 70 or so events I want to delete, so any help would be great.

"Please note: The Delete button does not exist for "Other" calendars in iOS 10. Apple developers have overlooked this. "

It's one of hundreds of small irritations, glitches, etc. that need fixing in the iOS and Mac Os.

Seeing something that says "Subscribed" without any way of "Unsubscribing" is illogical. In this era, it's also unnerving as it seems as if a 3rd party has taken control of the iOS device.

On the Mac, it even had a WiFi signal next to it! Fortunately, control-clicking that one does permit deletion (or was it unchecking that worked?). Seems there is no easy way of getting it back even if one wanted to! (I was hoping to test which method vanquished it!)
