Top speaker sounds distorted when playing music

Anyone else noticed that the top speakers are distorting your music? Sounds like a blown speaker or a speaker that can't handle the volume. The bottom speaker sounds normal. If this is normal then I don't understand why Apple would release this? Poor, poor, POOR quality and decision. Now I can't listen to my music over 90% volume because it ruins the song. There's not much bass either so I have no idea why it's not clean.
