Where do I download the Disk Recovery Assistant

I have a Macbook Air with OSX 10.9 on it, and wanted to make a bootable recovery disk. Following the instruction on Apple's support site, I went to the Apple Store and a search for the Disk Recovery Assistant returned no results.

I have the recovery partition as a boot option on the hard drive, but there is no such utility on the machine, nor does the Apple Store offer one for download.

Perhaps I can just do use the "dd" unix command -- which would suffice unless there is some Mac quirk that will mess it up.

Thanks

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
