Apple Watch Series 2 Battery Level Stuck at 100%

My new Apple Watch Series 2 battery level indicator is stuck at 100%, regardless of what the actual battery level is. I've tried rebooting the watch and it didn't help. Is anyone else experiencing this and know of a fix?

Im having the same issue after update to watchOS 4..called apple support..after diagnosis log submited to them, they mentioned that the battery is still in good working condition. Asked to send to nearest apple store for further diagnosis..my watch is out of warranty now and very disappointing and regrets of doing the update of the watchOS...

Apple please responds to this!!!

Interesting, I noticed this problem yesterday and called apple support and unpaired, repaired, restored prior images of my watch, new images etc., nothing fixed the problem. The watch is behaving normally so at this point I am not willing to send it in for repairs but now that I have seen these other posts I am curious if this is some kind of software or hardware bug. If anyone has advice please let us know.

I'm having the exactly same problem right now. A week ago my watch shut itself down at %85 battery (I charged it to full capacity 2 hours prior to that). I had to put it on to the charger in order to boot it again. It shows %100 ever since and shut itself of time to time.

I did force restart, un-pair and pair and restored from backup. Nothing solved it yet.

Actually I've had the same problem, after trying everything I started doubting that it's something related to my iPhone and not the watch, so I paired it to my friend's iPhone, then un-paired it and paired it again to mine, and I have no idea why or what happened, but the problem is resolved... try it and let me know, I'm curious to know if that's actually what solved the problem or I got lucky just when I gave up lol

I have had the same issue.. One day the Watch S2 (running wOS 4.0) shut itself down at 85%. I did a full charge and it got stuck at 100% battery.

I read somewhere that it might help to drain the battey, do a full charge, drain the battery, do a full charge, etc. And I have done that for a couple of days now. And today the battery shows 69%.

I hope the problem has disappeared since it is very annoying not to know how much battery is on your Watch.

Hi

As you have already restarted your watch, it may help to unpair and re-pair it:

I have this issue too. It started with the watch dying unexpectedly friday evening. After charging the watch it's now showing 100% constantly. E.g. it still said 100% charged after I wore the watching during the night, which I don't believe. After charging the watch in the morning it still showed 100% and right now it's still at 100%.

I have tried restarting the watch with no effect.

I have also tried to unpair the watch, done a hard reset of the watch, and then re-paired the watch. But it still shows 100% charged.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm starting to suspect a hardware problem with the sensor on the battery.
