I upgraded to MacOS Sierra yesterday, and since then I cannot copy paste across apps.
For eg. copying text from chrome allows me to paste it in chrome, but pastes nothing on safari or my text editor.
This probably has something to do with Universal Copy/Paste ? How can I disable it? Can't do any productive work without copy/paste

What versions of Numbers and Pages?
I tried this on my mac (running 10.12.1), with Numbers 4.0.5 (build 4052), and Pages 6.0.5 (build 4052) and had no trouble copying and pasting a table from Numbers to Pages. I got a fully editable table, with all formatting and content intact.

I'd thought that the OS and apps were all the most recent versions, however I found out this wasn't the case for Pages. There have been no recent notifications in my App Store to update Pages (as there were for Numbers & Keynote) which means that I was running an old version.
As I couldn't update the regular way, I navigated to Pages in the App store, downloaded the missing update and this bug is now fixed.

Pasted text is invisible, but the cursor still can move through it.. as if it was white on a white background.
Restarted, safe booted, etc., a few times. Currently the problem is only present when copying from a pdf from Preview.

I resolved by sign out/sign in icloud of iphone/mac.
make sure the connections:
- bluetooth
- wifi
- same icloud account.

Yes, THANK YOU I use another app called Copied and as soon as I closed it down Copy and Paste in Excel starting working again as normal.
This may be wide spread. This is the first time it has happened to me. And now to other computers I'm my office.
