Unenroll from Beta Program (Software Update annoyance)
Hello.
I participated and greatly enjoyed the macOS 10.12 Sierra public beta program but now that the commercial release has become available I’d rather switch back to the mainline.
This morning a Public Beta release of 10.12.1 showed up in Software Update.
So I went into Settings > App Store and disabled Beta software, and refreshed: the proposed update is still there.
So I went into /private/var/folders/zzz and nuked the contents of that, and refreshed: the proposed update is still there.
So I rebooted, and refreshed the App Store updates again: and of course, the proposed update is still there.
How do I get rid of that but ensure that I will be alerted when the definitive release of 10.12.1 is released?
Or am I going to have to live with it and be wary of never clicking “Update All” ever again?
Thanks.
