Reduce keyboard height

Hello to all,

I recently bought an iPad Pro 9.7. Simply awesome.

But I have a little problem with the height of the keyboard.

As you can see, the writing space is estremanente small, the keyboard takes up a lot of space (height).

You can reduce this height?

Or, there are third-party applications that allow you to change the pitch?

Thank you all for any help or suggestions 🙂

I Know what the two options do. I thought that you were saying that the keyboard was up in the middle of your screen. If that's not what you mean, can you explain it in a little more detail?

This is what I see on my iPad Air 2 in landscape mode.

Only so much of the screen is visible when you invoke the keyboard.

I apologize for my bad English language.

To clarify, I have made these examples using Photoshop.

At this link the keyboard with default height: http://imgur.com/a/x9fKB

At this link as I would like, roughly: http://imgur.com/a/CGaB6

In my opinion the keyboard is too high, take up much space.

It makes no sense, in view of landscape, a height so excessive, also caused by overly large buttons.

It would have been nice if in Settings > Keyboard > "Keyboard height adjustment".

Or in Landscape view: "Reduce the keyboard height"

Hi. I'm afraid it"is what it is" and has been for quite a long time. You can make it a little shorter by turning off predictive and shortcuts in Settings > General > Keyboard. That will remove the top band. You can suggest changes to Apple here

https://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html . You can also look in the app store for a more suitable keyboard. There are quite a few available. Mostly, I just swipe up so I can see the input area.

Hi Demo, thanks,

I pressed on the little keyboard icon, you get a menu with two menu: "Release" and "Split"

If I press "Release" the keyboard is positioned at the center of the display.

If I press on "Split", the keyboard reduces the height but is separated into 2 parts (left and right "and is positioned at the center of the display.

Thanks
