Whenever I access a Mac Mail mailbox, the preview text of all the messages flickers initially, then stops. This is a new issue since upgrading to Sierra. I haven't seen this reported by anyone else, so I'm hoping it's something that can be resolved. Is anyone else seeing this, and is there a known solution?
iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12), 27" Screen
Daylite Mail still installed and no flickering (yet.) What I did was go to Library/Mail/Bundles and remove the MsgFiler bundle which wasn't even active as I'm using the Application version now.
I suggest others having this issue look in their Mail Bundles folder and clear out things that aren't in use.
If the flicker comes back for me today I'll uninstall DMI and report back here.
...aaaand now it's gone again. No flickering. I did nothing I know of to affect it.

Flickering back already. I just uninstalled Daylite Mail Assistant.
By the way, I also have a Mac Mini with pretty much all the same software on it. I have not had the problem on that machine.
To others having the problem, what machines are you on? My problems are all on my Macbook Air 2012 with 4GB RAM. The Mac Mini has 12GB RAM.
Daylite Mail Integration uninstalled, a few hours of no flashing/flickering message list.
It's back. Not DMI or MsgFiler.
Hopefully MacOS will fix this.
Others with the problem - how much RAM do you have installed?
I have the same flickering issue since Sierra 10.12. MBP retina 15" late 2013, 16GB RAM
27" iMac, 8GB. The machine is not the issue. My 2011 MacBook Air is not experiencing the problem.
...aaaand now it's back again. I have no idea why. I haven't added any new apps or plugins. It MUST be something that is running / not running to make the problem come and go.

When I restart the Mail app, it will stop flickering for a while then flicker.
Sierra 10.12.1 is expected out soon. I expect we might see it by the Apple Event on Oct 27. It's a big update with lot of fixes. Be sure your add-ons are also updated.
The last public beta build today was big 1.25 GB. It took quite some time to download and the install time was similar to installing Sierra. After updating, I would restart a second time in Safe Boot mode then restart normally. As always, backup prior to upgrading.
If the flickering continues after the update, be sure to let Apple know via feedback.
Safe boot
* shutdown
* start the Mac and *wait* for the startup chime to sound
* after the sound, press and hold down the shift key
* keep holding and *wait* until the grey Apple logo appears
* now release the shift key and just wait (it could take a few minutes)
* eventually the login screen appears with the words SAFE BOOT
* simply restart normally
10.12.1 just came out and I just upgraded my Macbook Air. I will report back here later on today to see if the flickering reappears.
Oh well. Flashing/flickering again after upgrade to 10.12.1. I did not do a safe boot after the upgrade will try that now.

You need to report it to Apple Feedback so it can be logged and put in the queue to be fixed.
