Graphical Issues in macOS Sierra on Macbook Pro

I have a 13" Mid-2016 Macbook Pro (Model MacbookPro 7,1 - 2.66GHz/8GB RAM) which I just recently upgraded to Sierra. However, I have noticed an uptick in graphical glitches since the upgrade - serious graphical glitches. For example, the animation for popping up Applications comes up as two images, most applications (including in-built ones) flicker, and to top it off, apps like Microsoft Remote Desktop and Parallels 12 Pro don't work right due to graphical issues (MS RD just endlessly creates an empty black window while in Parallels I was forced to power off the virtual machine uncleanly because all the options for the app itself which uses OS X's interface were flickering in and out making them unselectable).

Actually, graphical flickering and stuttering throughout anything using macOS is pretty prevalent. Open a new window in Chrome, same thing. Same with Safari. Or iTunes.

It has gotten better with each subsequent restart but it's still pretty bad.

Anyone else experiencing this issue or have a resolution for it?

I probably shouldn't have mentioned Parallels at all - it was just one of the apps I was using at the time but I did get its latest update.

This issue with the UI of macOS and OS X flickering is system-wide.

As to the person who said "keep restarting..." - it's reached a point of no more returns: restarts aren't having anymore difference.

If I only knew where macOS kept its display log it might be a little easier to figure out.
