Poor Reception iPhone 7 Plus

What is our next step here? I have an $850 phone that is great for texting and checking email but absolutely horrid to use as an actual phone. I am so disappointed with my iPhone 7 that I'm strongly considering dumping Apple altogether and I've owned every single iPhone.

Can you help any of us here?

Same issue here. I am a physician, and need this phone to be able to return calls in short order. I now cannot call or be reached over large Verizon coverage areas that weren't an issue with my 6plus (which btw I had to abandon because of display problems). I get the same issue with other parties not being able to understand me. I am headed to the Apple Store today.

Let us know how this turns out. I have been to the Genius Bar three times and I am on my third iphone 7 Plus. I can't even order a pizza without the person hanging up on me because they can't understand what I am saying. And don't tell me it is a problem with my carrier! When I swap sim cards with my iphone 6 Plus (that I use with another carrier and use only internationally), the same problem exists. It's the iphone 7 Plus! It does not work for making and receivig phone calls that can be understood. Apple! Help us!

I got a call from the third genius bar when I left them a bad review with Apple Customer Support. The person at the Apple store said he would research my problem further and get back with me asap. That was two weeks ago!

I just got my 7 Plus and was so excited!! Loved it!! But....phone calls broke my heart! They said I was muffled, breaking up and just could not hear me! Going back to Verizon store today and returning it! Thought about trying another one but after reading these complaints, I think not! Not sure what I will get! May go back to my 5S since that worked fine! Thought maybe it was the larger size of the Plus but now I see the 7 is also a pain! So discouraged :(

Apple, please fix or I'm out! All of my music, apps and more. All gone and I don't care anymore, those things are added features to cell phones that need to be used to make and receive calls without fail.

Hi I am facing the same problem too. I sent in my iPhone 7 for a technical check and I was given a replacement saying they could not resolve the problem with my phone. The new phone is also giving problems. Reception is bad. This is rather frustrating.

I received my faulty iPhone 7 back fourth time from repair - where they all along refused to confirm that this phone was from a 'bad day at the Chinese production plant'... I was told it was MY iTunes security backup (software problem) - and also that I could not use my iCloud.... which is ridiculous since this is the epitome of having/using an iPhone.

ALL worked at my son's old iPhone 6 (with crashed screen) - which I used the 3-4 weeks my iPhone 7 was in 'repair'. Fact is: They NEVER repaired anything, I was made suspicious and had to 'prove myself' that the world's biggest Company sold me a poor cell phone. And when I did, it wasn't acknowledged....

I refused to give up - and forced my cell provider (3.dk) to return it. I had to deny reception of the fourth repair.

And I bought an iPhone 6S Plus 128 GB - which works PERFECT. No missed connections, no problems with connectivity, no problems with my iTunes backup nor my iCloud = The iPhone 6S Plus works totally flawless. The iPhone 7 Plus did the opposite....

Mine is now fixed! Go in settings, cellular, options, enable LTE and then make sure you check data only instead of phone and data! Don't have the Volume too high either! No problem since

I'm in the middle of downtown Atlanta, practically next to an AT&T cell tower. Had constant problems over the past month w/ very low signal strength, dropped calls, and erratic signal strength (4 bars then 2 bars then 1 bar then 3 bars). Lost track of the no. of calls to AT&T tech support. Tried everything - including restoring phone to new phone status. Nothing helped. Once I made this setting change (Settings>Cellular>Cellular Data Options>UNCLICK "Enable LTE") the signal strength immediately jumped to 4-5 bars.

iPhone 7 Plus had horrible reception when I installed iPhone with plastic Protection case.

I test it's reception with Speedtest:

- Without case, it's signal reception so strong HOME Wifi over 150 Mbps and LTE in my town 50 Mbps.

- With

plastic Protection case, Signal dropped down so bad Wifi read 15 Mbps and LTE 8Mbps.
