App Download Stuck - "circle with a square"

Hi,


I have been trying to download an app which I had previously deleted.


The App is, however, stuck at the "circle with a square" in the App Store, instead of the usual cloud icon for purchased & deleted apps (screenshot attached). The circle wont go away, no matter what ! Soft Reset hasn't helped.

I am able to download it via iTunes and transfer/sync to the phone. But I'd rather have the download/ update work through the phone's app store.

Restoring the phone is not an option.


iOS 10.0.2.

I wish it was that simple but it's actually a pretty tough fix in my opinion.

I can tell you how it happened to me when The Application was installing, I deleted it and that's when it's all started. nothing I have done is working. it's really frustrating, and I wish I could get a straight answer how to fix it. thanks again.
