Vtech connect to cell

Having problems answering calls coming in to iPhone 5 & 6s on my vtech connect to cell system. all other functions work. when you answer on the vtech handset it goes to "end". Call stays active on iPhone until you press end on iphone. Paired sons Samsung and was able to answer his calls. Any settings on iPhone causing this issue?

I called Vtech they told me it is problem with IOS 10 software and is only affecting apple software driven devices, it works fine with android software driven phones. They stated they are working on it and would call when they have a fix. I thought it was funny that they called it a Apple software problem when all other bluetooth devices I have, which is many, seem to still work fine with IOS 10.

I do not know how they could update their firmware there is way to connect any of their Vtech phones to a computer or the internet, they would have to convince Apple to change something. This issue is affecting AT&T Connect TO Cell phones too. If you look at the Vtech and the the AT&T Connect To Cell phones they appear to be made by the same company so they should have the same bad firmware. I just threw way AT&T phones thinking they were going bad and bought Vtech and have the same issues. I think I will return them before the return window is closed.

I Had the same problem. It's a known problem with them since IOS 10.1 was released. They told me to check back often to see if it was fixed. I asked to return the system and was told I would have to pay for shipping. I asked if it is a known problem why it was not stated on their web page that it would not work on IOS 10? They could not answer it.


I had to talk to a supervisor to have them send me a UPS return label so I didn't have to pay for shipping.

Great news- there is a resolution. I had called Vtech in December regarding the same issue. Just as stated above, I was told that it was an iOS10 issue and an update was in process. I called today and they have model DS-6722-3 which is compatible with iOS 10 and will ship it to me for free! When the operator asked where and when I purchased the phone, I was honest and told her I purchased it on Amazon, from a third-party reseller. There was no hesitation. She documented that and initiated the return process.


here is what to do. Call the Assistance line from the website:

1-800-595-9511

Mon – Fri, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Time.


Once you get through all the If-then questions and finally get to an operator, let them know the problem. They will create a UPS return label which will be sent to your email. Once I package the phone and the computer registers that my phone has been shipped, then Vtech will send me the updated model.


It was very easy. I am very satisfied with the resolution.

I have this problem too. It can be resolved in a convoluted way. Answer with your iPhone and then press on the Bluetooth icon that appears on the screen. You will be given the choice of staying connected to the iPhone or being transferred to your Vtech phone. If you choose the Vtech option, the Vtech phone will ring again and when you answer this time the call will go through.


As I stated before, this is a convoluted way to deal with the problem.

I have the VTECH 6611 and I have one major problem with it. When I receive a call on my iPhone and try to answer it on the VTECH the call ends immediately. In order to take the call on my VTECH I must first answer on my iPhone, press the Bluetooth icon and select VTECH. Then and only then can I go back to my VTECH and answer the iPhone call. This is a major hassle.
