Homekit Bridge for z-wave Devices

Is there a device (hub, bridge, etc) that will allow z-wave devices to be controlled by the Home app?

Yeah you're probably right. I just thought this would be the place where all of the people of superior intellect and knowledge reside.

Oh, that's certainly true, at least according to some of the people here. But, if the device doesn't work with HomeKit, it's also within reason that people who are experts in HomeKit wouldn't know much about it. 😉

Just announced the Mixtile (that's the device Focalcrest showed) won't support HomeKit after all.

It's a problem that there is no HomeKit support for all the Z-Wave and Zigbee devices out there. They're much cheaper than the HomeKit variants.

It makes sense to keep your home automation stuff on a separate network like Z-Wave or Zigbee, which means you need a bridge. But nobody wants a stack of bridges.

I hope Apple has a plan here.

I would like to add for anyone who stumbles across this post, the github repository mentioned is well worth the look. I have been using it since it first came out and it is the only option I have found. I have had to remove my home a few times and set it back up, but for the most part, it is a decent way to give us the HomeKit bridge for Z-Wave that we are all looking for.
