Homekit Bridge for z-wave Devices
Is there a device (hub, bridge, etc) that will allow z-wave devices to be controlled by the Home app?

Apple Homekit
I use homebridge and domoticz. The software combination allows me to control all my z-wave (and x-10) devices from Siri for free.

Thanks. I understand that. I saw in other forums that a device may be in development that would allow z-wave devices to bridge to the homekit platform. I was asking if anyone knows if there's such a device on the market or if there's plans for one.

Seems focalcrest will not be a reality.

Oh, that's certainly true, at least according to some of the people here. But, if the device doesn't work with HomeKit, it's also within reason that people who are experts in HomeKit wouldn't know much about it. 😉
Just announced the Mixtile (that's the device Focalcrest showed) won't support HomeKit after all.
It's a problem that there is no HomeKit support for all the Z-Wave and Zigbee devices out there. They're much cheaper than the HomeKit variants.
It makes sense to keep your home automation stuff on a separate network like Z-Wave or Zigbee, which means you need a bridge. But nobody wants a stack of bridges.
I hope Apple has a plan here.
I would like to add for anyone who stumbles across this post, the github repository mentioned is well worth the look. I have been using it since it first came out and it is the only option I have found. I have had to remove my home a few times and set it back up, but for the most part, it is a decent way to give us the HomeKit bridge for Z-Wave that we are all looking for.
Only devices that are built for and have home-kit compatible software will work with home kit.
That seems like a good question to as either Z-wave or whoever posted it in the other forum where you read about it.
Yeah you're probably right. I just thought this would be the place where all of the people of superior intellect and knowledge reside.
Been looking myself.. The short answer is no.
Google Focalcrest. The device was said to launch in March of 2017.
