Is Microsoft Office 2011 Mac compatible with OS Sierra
I'm still running Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 on iMac.
Wondering if this version is compatible with OS Sierra?
iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12)

I have had MS-Office 2011 installed and running fine since Yosemite. Have gone thru direct update to El Capitan and Sierra with out problems. Even performed an SSD clone upgrade from original drive.
Just Apply all the Microsoft Office updates before you upgrade you OS.
It is, but you may need to reinstall it (MS Office doesn't like upgrades much of the time)
Thanks for super-speedy reply! Will do.
I just upgraded to macOS Sierra and I had MS Office 2011 installed.
Upgrade did not effect my MS-Office.
Still works fine.
Just a note, before I submitted this question I ran across this information from Stanford U.
I have an iMac 5K late 2014 and my wife has a MacBook Pro late 2011. Both have MS Office 2011 installed and I upgraded both computers to MacOS Sierra.
On my iMac MS Office 2011 fired up with no problems.
On the MacBook Pro Office experienced several glitches. in fact every application on the MacBook Pro was sluggish; some were almost non responsive. After sitting overnight, however, everything returned to normal. Apparently when you upgrade to Sierra, the new version of Photos spends a lot of time and processing power indexing the photos. Once that is complete the notebook returned to normal and Office is working with no problems.
Apparently the difference between computers stems from the fast processor and Fusion Drive on the iMac and a much slower process and HDD on the MacBook Pro.
And many (not all) had a different experience which can be fixed by reinstalling Office, not everyone has the same thing happen.
I have MS-Office 2011 installed and it appears to be working fine. However I have not checked all of the services. The main apps appear to be working fine however.
Microsoft support said it is supported in macOS Sierra.
Microsoft support said that support for MS Office 2011 has not ended. So it is supported on macOS Sierra.

Yes.
I have upgraded to Sierra and Office continues to work but there are now some weird quirks that are bothersome. To open a file for Word <File - open> I have to double click in the Office finder windows (didn't have to previously) (NOTE: in Apples Finder and all other apps I only have to click once) and then despite my file selection at the bottom of the finder window being set to show 'all files' the open button is greyed out. This can only be made active by clicking on the 'all files' and selecting any option even 'all files' again to which the open button becomes accessible and you can open the desired file. MS released an update last week which did not address my issues.
Every since I upgraded to Sierra from El Capitaine I have been having problems with my iMac. I have Office 2008, and today my Power Poink doesn't work properly. It was freezing, and I couldn't import my photos from "Photo". Every day I seem to run into another problem.
Uninstall and then Reinstall Office
tHanks. I'll try it.
