When I tried to sync a playlist to my watch some songs did not sync. The app said they all did and the songs are all downloaded on my phone. Please help.

I was having a similar problem (just bought a watch series 3 yesterday) but then realised the issue might have to do with the "automatically add" section ..
So as a workaround --
If you add playlists manually using the "+ Add Music" function (disable anything in the Automatically Add section), you will find they will all be uploaded to your watch (provided its charging). An Updating Bar appears on the top of the screen - it can take a while so you need to be patient lol.
Do you keep it on the charging cradle when syncing? That's what I have to do.
