iPhone 7 Plus Camera - Pictures are bad

What do you mean by saying they replacing the camera with a new one? Are they going to start any camera replacement program? I have got a return request created for my iphone 7. I also noticed the bad image quality when I started using my phone. Should I hold my phone if they are really going to replace thr camera? Whats your thought??

I see what you mean and this picture with the kids on really looks like the ones i took.

However when i zoomed in the pics there on that iPhone they looked perfect to me.

I guess i should stop being obsessed with this and accept the fact that maybe i should choose another brand for my next phone.

to naveenchawla11: i have no idea about a replacement program. I think the guy there just wanted to like calm me and told me they try to replace my camera with a new one to solve the problem. But he looked like he doesnt even think that there's an actual problem to begin with

Hmm..I also believe its a software fault rather than hardware, but just for the mental satisfaction, I'll still return my phone to apple and will buy a new one from BestBuy here soon. I tried to get a replacement from apple but they said once I replace it, I cannot return it anymore. So better to buy from somewhere else now.

Is there any report on the iPhone 7 too?

Got the 7 almost a month and this is bad.

Pictures look bad. Never sharp and washed to the point looks like pixelated l. Same for the video.

I, too am experiencing almost exact issues you are...

I can only imagine it is software related as so many people are starting to experience same issues.

VERY VERY pixely/blurry edged & water colour marked images.

I've tried using other apps such as Camera+ and they are somewhat better, BUT nowhere near good enough for what this iPhone is representing.

I have the same problem! I went to the Apple Store, and they agreed that the photos are not good, the technician said it looked like pictures were taken in a fish bowl. However she said I was first with this problem. They changed my phone, and what do I see? Same problem. I just can't believe that there are lucky people with great cameras in their iPhones 7/ 7plus. So frustrating!

Well, so far I have not seen any proof of anyone having a good camera, they all have this same issue. Last night I went to the store (not apple store) and did not even have to explain. They noticed right away, they said unacceptable and that I should not have to agree with this. All the phones in-store had the same issue. They said Apple might not fix this and even if, then when? Until then I have photos that are bad. So they offered me to exchange for any phone I wanted.....until they asked me when I bought it. I said, about 6 weeks ago, then suddenly they said oh we will have to check with Apple. (they have a 2 week return period, but I only found out last week)

I was suprised, after all, the problem is still the same, after 2 weeks or 2 months. I argued with them that I demand a solution, and that the problem is not suddenly gone because of the return period. They said and know that Apple will not likely acknowledge it as a problem and that a quick fix is not to be expected. So why call Apple? I dont care what Apple says, it *****, they saw it, agreed that it sucked and now because of return period they want to not help me?

They said to call Apple today and talk to higher management, I am going back tonight. See what they can (or better said: want to) do.

I am still amazed that lots of people are posting pics and are so happy, while anyone, not just pro photographers, can see this clearly, even without zooming to 100%. It is so obvious. Apple screwed up, and one way or the other, I am getting rid of this thing and switch to Android for now. I am happy to live with Android, if that gives me good photos. And man I shoot some S7 photos in store...they looked amazing, razorsharp, lots of details. The iPhone photos are nothing compared to it (or even compared to budget android phones or my old iPhone 4s!).

Got my maxed out iPhone 7 Plus yesterday after a long wait only to be extremely disappointed by very, very, VERY poor camera quality. I was using an iPhone 6 and it beats out the 7 Plus I have in terms of image detail.

It is really weird how the camera just eats any details it can get its hands on, as if the image processing is destroying the image on purpose! Did I miss something? Are blurry, blotched images the new craze?

Anyways, I am typing this before I head out and return my unit. I think I'll be going with another device from "another tech giant". The image quality is simply unacceptable. I just happen to not be a fan of waterpaintings. Sorry, Apple.

Smudged out, no details, barbie effect. whatever you want to call it, its not good.

Same issue here with the iPhone 7 non-plus model. Photos being taken especially with people in it, look -when zoomed in- like they are painted with a brush. The smearing effect is extremely noticeable and to be honest quite annoying.

Most definitely not the quality camera that we were promised and shown. There is a software issue that needs to be corrected. I hope enough consumers raise this issue so that Apple fixes this lack of quality on the I phone 7 plus camera. Unacceptable

Apple is aware and investigating. I received a call from an Apple tech this past Saturday, and requested sample photos which I provided. I'll post an update if I hear more.

Thanks to all who are keeping this issue active! This has got to be fixed pronto, so many good shots were already ruined- some to the point where I'm actually embarrassed to show my pics to friends.

Question: How do I submit a bug report? I want to harass Apple until they fix it, and everyone else should, too.

Thanks for heads up. Keep us updated but it is hard to believe they would overlook such a massive bug. They make a point of talking about how amazing their camera is and basically it ***** at the moment :)

I agree, I'm embarrassed to post pictures taken on my iPhone now.
