Imessage account hacked

If you haven't delved deep into all the info in this thread, you probably haven't discovered the "real deal" that we really cannot come right out and say here in Apple's own forum

clearly from this thread's contents and in the wild, it wasn't only just your account compromised

I Got the exact same message but on a Mac 2 instead of the 12. I changed my password To something much more secure. Did I fix the problem by changing passwords?

Probably. Read this thread carefully. Follow linked pages and their links. It was nothing that you did or you account specifically

This just happened to me today so it seems like the hack is stick going on.... ***!?!?!?!? I got a notification on my iPad that my Apple ID was used to log in to iMessages from some weird named Mac Book Pro and then received a ton of iMessages from a number with a bunch of Chinese jiberish. I changed my password immediately but I can't set up a two-step account authentication for a few days cuz of the recent "major" changes to my account due to the password reset. I am going to keep a very close watch on my account for any fraudulent charges. I hope Apple is paying close attention to their level of security...

Keep in mind that your Apple ID wasn't hacked - but rather your email address & password were hacked at some other site where you use the same credentials

They guessed (correctly) that you had an Apple device is all that happened concerning Apple

Change your password here and everywhere that you use the same one

Have you tried using your iMessage since the hack? The Apple ID & phone number on a new iPhone issue happened to me early Monday AM and I immediately changed everything. No gorrign messages were sent but now my iMessage will absolutely not work and I've tried all the troubleshooting "remedies"
