MacOS Sierra - 50-100GB of system storage??

Hi all,

I have a mid-2013 Macbook Air with 120 GB of SSD storage. I updated my OS to sierra and noticed that the "system" is taking up 100 GB of storage! I tried to delete my files, but for some reason I still have very high amount of system storage.

I decided to do wipe my whole computer and do a clean install. With the clean install, I am seeing 50 GB of system storage. That sounds like a ton of storage used for system to me. Is this typical? I don't remember seeing this much space taken up in Yosemite/El Capitan.

I just updated my MacBook Pro 2016 to the newest software update, now system take up 120gb of my 250gb ssd, I can't just change ssd so I need help to delete some of the "systems" 120gb use...

I connect my time machine drive every weekday and it backs up once an hour throughout the day. Should I do something different than that? Last backup was Friday afternoon at 4:00pm or so.

OmniDiscSweeper and I found 522.5GB Private out of which 479GB was Bluetooth thousands of PocketLoggerBluetooth, how do I delete them?

If you select the file showing in OmniDiskSweeper there is a "delete" option. I seem to remember it's in the bottom left corner.
