Launchservicesd. issue

Hello i have in activity monitor "launchservicesd"

It s keeping my cpu at 30% allways and the laptop it s very hot

What can i do?

We understand that you have a process, “launchservciesd” in activity monitor that keeps your CPU around 30%.


We have a couple of different troubleshooting steps we would like you to work through in this situation.


First, try starting your computer in safe mode. After it has finished starting up in safe mode, you can restart the Mac as you normally would; this will start it back up in your normal user account. Test the issue again after you have completed this step.


OS X Yosemite: Start up in safe mode

If the issue continues after booting to safe mode, reset the System Management Controller on your Mac. The first article below explains this process.
