How To Remove A User From HomeKit
I added my ex as user to access HomeKit back in iOS 9.x (he was on an Android). I did this under Settings -> HomeKit. He was able to control all of my lights and Ecobee thermostat from his phone, great no problem. I have recently upgraded to iOS 10 and we are no longer together. He has somehow managed to delete every light in my HomeKit configuration and he is constantly setting my Ecobee thermostat to heat mode, I am in Florida and everytime I home home my house is 90+ degrees. How can I remove him from my configuration???
In iOS 9.x I could do this under Settings -> HomeKit; this option has been removed in iOS 10. Currently to manage users you have to use the new Home App. Clicking the arrow in the upper left corner brings you to the settings screen. You can then invite and manager users under People. The only problem is......he is not listed under People! Yet he still has full access to my HomeKit. PLEASE......how do I permanently remove him? Every 5-10 minutes today he is switching my heat on.
