How to turn off travel time calendar alerts

Starting with iOS 10, I keep getting calendar alerts, not 5 minutes before my meeting (which is what I specify), but rather these travel time alerts telling me about traffic conditions and if I leave now I'll make my meeting....or something to that effect. Is there any way to turn these off and just have the normal static timed alerts that i specify.

And by the way, all my calendar events have Travel Time set to 'None'.

Thanks.

iPhone SE, iOS 10.0.2

Hello JupiterOne,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important turning off this Time to Leave alert is to you! The good news is the following steps will be helpful in resolving your issue with this alert when making calendar events, as you can go to Settings > Calendar > Default Alert Times and turn off the Time to Leave alert. This will turn off this feature from automatically setting this alert.
