Google Maps not navigating

I have Google Maps on both an iPhone 6 (IOS 10.0.2) and an iPad Air (also IOS 10.0.2). And, as of this morning, when you click the directions arrow and enter an address, it only offers you the double-arrow "Route Preview" option. It no longer offers the real-time naviagation.

Is anybody else having this issue?

And, before you ask, I have hard reset the phone and turned Location Services on and off. The only thing I haven't done is a complete restore of the phone. But, since the very same thing is happening on the iPad, I don't feel that's necessary.

It’s true dear. Gmaps in iPhone not showing any navigation. My apps are up to date and and I did hard reset and start as a new phone. But still it’s showing route preview only. Not because of our phone or gps issue. It’s a wrong fix from their latest version of maps. Every iPhone which my friends using, I tried the gmaps. It’s same issue.....

Can you navigate using the native Maps app that comes with iOS, or is that affected also?

Yes, Apple Maps works fine. I know this isn't a forum for 3rd-party apps. But, I just wanted to know if this is an issue with Google Maps or something with my location/setup.

Since Apple Maps works, I doubt it's a problem with your location/setup. It may be an issue specific to Google Maps on iOS 10. Have you checked the app store for updates recently? It looks like a new version (4.23.0) was released today. It explicitly lists iOS 10 support in the 'what's new' section.

Yep, just upgraded it on the iPad and--same thing. No solid arrow for navigational instructions--only the double arrow for "route preview." Weird.

Gonna try it on the iPhone next. Maybe, now you have to be in a moving car (or bike or walking) for it to give you turn-by-turn live instructions.
