How can I confirm a contact when a message / call comes from a known contact, but the iphone suggests it as a 'maybe'?

Found the button....it's hidden by the "Force Touch" feature. if you Force Touch the contact under details in the message thread the option to add to existing or create new contact show up.

Having these same issues. After reading through all the responses I went to one of the contacts it was affecting and added a +1 to the front of the number. This fixed the "Maybe" issue for not only that contact but for all the other contacts that it was affecting.

I had an optional 0 in my contact’s cellphone number e.g. +1 (099) 999999.
After removing the zero, my ‘maybe’-issue was fixed. Hope it helps someone with a similar problem.
What is force touch? Or where is it I’m having the same issues with the contacts having maybe? I can’t solve this can you help thanks
