iPhone 7 plus exterior buttons not working

I fully restored as new and still persists on 10.1.1

Experienced the same issue twice now in the last few days. Both times the standard hard reset (vol down + home) does NOT work, nor does holding the lock button for a standard reset. So annoying, took about 5 mins for it to "come out of it" and whatever app youre using is "exposed" to pocket gestures Also - it seems the more you try to do, the longer the glitch / freeze and the longer it takes to catch up with all our random button sequences. Remember when a new Apple device was reliable? Feels like launch is beta these days.

Gosh, I have been experiencing this issue too ever since I received my IPhone 7 plus 128gb gold. Can someone kindly assist me with this?

Having the same exact problem. Persists despite reset/software updated. Any permanent fixes yet?

Restored from back up and as new multiple times, issue still persists.

Have not found a fix beyond mashing all the buttons until something happens

I have the same issue in my iPhone 7 128GB. All of a sudden none of the buttons work. I'm now stuck in safari. Pressing home and power also does nothing. So now I need to wait for the battery to drain or hope the issue disappears. This also happened this morning and lasted 10 minutes.

I just found out that the reset buttons for iPhone 7 have changed. Reset is now power + volume down. (Home button is not a physical button anymore) It is just a taptic engine response

Same problem here, iphone 7 128G, screen works fine. But non of the buttons work.

I had this first happen to me yesterday, and again today. First time I've experienced this. On a 7 Plus, iOS 10.1.1

The home/power/volume buttons don't respond (but I do feel taptic on my home button) so I can't shut the unit off. Even power/home combo doesn't work. When it came back to life, it seemed like it was executing all the button presses.

I did find that if I plug it into some kind of power source (computer or wall wart) it immediately comes back to life.

My phone does the exact same thing! I hate it because I've had to send my phone to apple because of their mistake, anyone knows how to solve this problem?

This happens to me also, about once or twice a week, the only solution I've found was plugging it into the charger. It's not a 100% guarantee but it has helped me.

same issue on my iphone 7 seems to be happening more frequently recently... not sure if it's a software issue or not i don't see the same bugs on my iPad but i don't use that as much as my iPhone. This will be my last apple product if they are unwilling to help unless it's reproduced int he store. it's a brand new iPhone thats faulty this company is losing my support quickly. I really regret not getting a pixel now and i'm locked/trapped into this for 2 years if i want it for "free"

this just happened to me. the only way I can think of to get out of it, is to have someone to call the phone or using your MacBook to call your own phone.
