iPhone 7 Plus Camera Freeze

I have been having the same issue with the new IPhone 7. Camera cannot focus every once in a while. I will have to turn phone off and back on to get it to work.

I am seeing a lot of people on the internet with the same issue!!!

I am having the same issue with my camera. Even closing and reopening today did not seem to help. Checked for a software update and there was nothing new. It is quite frustrating because I use my phone and camera a lot for work and this is quite a inconvenience, now I will have to bring my old digital camera with to meetings in the case this keeps happening. 😕 Hope this problem is fixed with upcoming software installs.

I have an Iphone 7 Plus and have had the same problem ever since I got it 3 weeks ago. I thought the problem would go away but it happens 95% of the time and I constantly miss photo opportunities. I just went to my camera to take a picture and it happened again. I did this 5 times and every time I closed the app, and tried again the same result. I also have issues during facetime where the person I am facetiming says I keep freezing or can't hear me.

I am going back to the Apple Store at the weekend to discuss it with them.

I've been experiencing the same problems on my iPhone 7 plus since November, it's March. We've done everything including completely wiping/rebooting the device and starting brand new which is really inconvenient and aggravating when it does nothing. My FaceTime also is messed up and I can't use it. I've been to the Apple Store/Genius Bar three times with the last one resulting in a replacement device. Within a day it was doing the exact same thing. I'm beyond exhausted and disheartened. I called them to let them know I'm still having the problems but I don't really see a fix for it anytime soon. Bummer. 😟

Seems apple doesn't care about this, since it already happens for several months without any solution.

So, my own solutions are;

1. Do not use iphone camera software. Use any other camera software (360 or other), that maybe cannot act as simple and quick as apple camera, but they are also good.

2. Prepare to change all my phone (and other ios system). In case they STILL do not take care this problem.

UPDATE

I have contact the apple support, and found that they are really professional and friendly. They suggest me to update the iOS firmware to the 10.3.2.

After I update, my iPhone's camera back normal again.

Problem solved.

SO, if you got the same 'camera freeze' problem, try to update your iOS.

if it still not solve your problem, you may try to contact Apple support.

Apple support is amazing, and they really do care to our problem.

HI, disable the 3 spotlight search options, restart your phone and the problem should be gone. It may take a few hours before it works. Just give it a little time.

I too am having this issue. It tries to focus and then freezes. I have to restart the phone to fix. I had the 6s plus and never had this issue. Very annoying.

Tried suggested steps and many other suggestions found online. The problem presists.

Same exact issue as explained in other replies. Hope for a fix soon if there hasn't been one already discovered.
