Facetime making clicking sounds on iPhone 7

I have the same problem as well. I got the iPhone 7 128GB on 16th of Sept and started experiencing the problem next day. Got my phone replaced from Apple Store but still experiencing the problem. Don't know what to do now :/

I have the same issue (iPhone 7 plus 256G). Went to local apple store. The technician tested audio OK. Reset system, still have the same issue. Don't know how to do? Is this a hardware issue or software issue? Phone call has no problem.

I have an iPhone 7 plus 128gb and the same thing happens to me. I brought it to an apple store where they ran some tests and stated that hardware wise the phone seemed to be fine, therefore they couldn't exchange it with another one. Instead, they suggested that I tried resetting it, which I did but it didn't help. Then they offered to change the receiver on my phone, but even after this, I keep having the same issue. So far, I am very dissatisfied with my new iPhone, I think I was better off with my iPhone 6, but too late to return it.

Used to get this on my macbook pro, now again with iphone 7...

For me, answer to both was turn off handoff. Problem stopped.

Update: The apple store replaced my device, I set it up as a new iphone and re-downloaded all the apps I used to have. Just when I thought the problem was gone, it happened again. This time, I contacted Apple Support via Twitter, and they suggested to try restoring the phone to factory settings (again) but this time test the phone without installing any apps. I did this, and the facetime issue did not happen again. Then, I re-downloaded all the apps, and problem re-appeared. Conclusion: there is an app I have that is messing with my facetime, I now I have to figure out which one it is 😟

Did you ever find out which app was causing the problem? I just got an iPhone 7 and am having the same issue. Thanks!
