iPhone 7 won't stay connected to bluetooth in car

I have the same car and the same issue so it must be the car.

I am having the same problem with my iPhone 7 on 2012 Subaru Impreza. Every time I shut the car off, the pairing disappears. Will try the instructions above.

I drive a 2014 Scion FR-S and my phone is constantly connecting , then disconnecting and so forth. Tried unpairing and repairing the device. Still no luck. I also know my dad and mom are having the same issue in their respective vehicle (Subaru Outback and Honda Fit)

After a trip to the dealership only to find there was no firmware update… I was finally able to resolve my issue by un-pairing or deleting all of the other previous connections in my Subaru's Bluetooth set up. Worked great, no problems since then.

I have tried all the troubleshooting steps and it is still not working. I have a Hyundai Tucson and everytime i get in the car i have to connect the bluetooth. Is it my phone or the Iphone 7 in general?

I have the same issue, My iphone 5 and 6+ worked fine with my car, and the 7+ doesn't. I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. I have cleared all phones from my car, and turned off it's Bluetooth system and turned it back on. I have deleted the pairing in my phone, and re-paired it. I have shut off and turned back on my phone, and my phone is up-to-date in it's IOS version. My phone works with other devices just fine. I'm guessing it's the car, and will have them check the system for any updates when I am there next, but if someone gets anything more substantial I'd love to know!

So this is what they said to me. Definitely an issue with the Bluetooth chips in both the phone and the car not communicating.

I am having the same problem with my 2011 Kia Sportage.

Have you had any success? I, too, have a Subaru and this problem.

Any updates from Ford?

Most likely this won't be fixed by an iOS update. The vehicle manufacturer needs to work with Apple to update their firmware. It will be up to them if they want to do that or not.
