Move to Predicted mailbox

Apple Mail Version 10.1 (3246)

I have just seen a menu point that I have never seen before and I cant figure out what it is supposed to do. It is under the Message menu and is called "Move to Predicted Mailbox" Also if I right click on a mail I habe a 'Move to "(null)"' menu item

Neither appear to do anything.

Any suggestions on what it is and how to use it correctly ?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.5), Apple Watch, iPhone, iMac and more.

Thanks for pointing this out. However, this is still not helpful: at least the old way when I right-clicked I could see the last folder name. With this new method, I have to do the Menu > Message sequence first if I didn't recall where I last stored a message by default. Still needs to be shown in the right-click on a message as before. The shortcut key sequence will be great IF one can always recall where they last stored a message.

I also have this problem BUT

- When the mail is selected and is active on the reading panel (meaning you see all of its contents), then the selection is grayed out saying the normal "Move to Predicted mailbox"

- When I am viewing another email and I right-click an different email (so it is only "selected" but not "active"), then I get a predicted mailbox and it works.

So the problem in my case is not being able to have this feature when I have opened an email.

Can anyone confirm?

It works in macOS Sierra as well, but you have to get used to not clicking the item directly (which turns the background blue), but to click it with the secondary click (right-click), so that the item gets a blue border. Then the command is active and mostly predicts the folder correctly.

As I said: it's a good feature, but not strictly adhering to the interface guidelines (select > action).

Same feelings on this update to Mac Mail, the Move to last folder was very useful when you're working and saved a lot of time, although I like the Move to Predicted folder which works great on iOS - however I've also found my Mac Mail in Sierra is permanently grey not finding any suggested folder - so it's currently absolutely useless, I've got the same mailboxes on my Mac Mail as my iPhone so no idea why the iOS works and Sierra doesn't.
