How do I access my Quicken Essentials data after upgrading from Capitan to Sierra?

How can I access my Quicken Essentials data after upgrading from Capitan to Sierra? Is my data lost completely? I backed up on Time Machine but cannot locate the Quicken file to extract from😕 I am running Capitan on a Mac and would like to get the data onto another Mac.

I believe the default folder for Quicken Essentials data file is your Documents folder.

You do realize Quicken Essentials is not supported on macOS Sierra, right? So, you have two choices: stay on El Capitan (or lower) or upgrade to Quicken 2016.
