How to access Apple Support Communities? Stuck at Manage Apple ID-page, keeping redirected to it

Hello all! 🙂

I can't acces this Apple Support Communities with my own account.

I'm stuck at the Manage Apple ID-page, and each time I try to visit Apple Support Communities while logged in, I keep being redirected to this annoying Manage Apple ID-page and cannot see the Forum. 😠😠😠

What do I have to do to continue at this screen and use the  Communities with my own Apple account?

I promised to share the results here. So far, I got an e-mail asking me to make an account an take track of the steps.

I gave a detailed answer stating that it's not possible to make an account on my @mac.com-account (not this account from my aunt), but unfortunately did not get feedback on what to do next.

Re-reply - repeat as necessary

IF they messed up and sent from a no-reply address (makes no sense, but sometimes they do use one), email communityaccounts@apple.com

include any trouble ticket number that they may have included in their email

Have you tried to sign in and sign out of that account? After signing out, can you log in at ASC?

I find NO direct link from Manage page to ASC

If I use page choices only, I must:

choose "Support" link from the HEADER Bar
scroll down > then choose Join the conversation

this results in me viewing the "Welcome" page in a logged in state

I think that we may need to know your exact ActionSteps from the very beginning in excruciating detail

Thanks for your quick answer!

Unfortunately signing in- and out doesn't help, after signing out it all works and also, with this Apple Account (not my own) all works.

After loggin in: Support welcome screen does work.

BUT each time by choosing 'Communities' or 'Join the conversation' I am being redirected to https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage

It's the same problem as this user has: http://www.mac-forums.com/archive/index.php/t-323513.html

If it's helping I can post screenshots.

Also, is there a way of sending this info to Apple by email or otherwise?

You have some unusual problem it seems, based on your last statement vs. my (tested) experience

Let's get some data - your product info indicates "old" stuff

are you good to go with the Apple ID with which you post here on the same device that the other Apple ID fails?
iPad? What model? If not, what device and model?
What OS version?
Is this is new, what changed recently?

Let us know before we pull the trigger on any next steps

Thanks, yes I think indeed it's unusual, my Apple ID is a bit old, it's a @mac.com

The user account which I use to post here is from my aunt.

I myself use an 24" iMac 2008 with El Capitan, and have iPhone 5 and an iPad Mini Retina with the latest software so I could test this (I will try it now).
Safari or Chrome makes no difference, same redirect.

When you say it is old is it based on say an old AOL screen name, or anything else that isn't <user>@<domain>?

Would it be that the OP's real Apple ID would not work at "Manage your Apple ID" if that were the case? (as he or she describes)

No idea, but different sites may have different boundary checks for what is considered a valid entry in a field.

Indeed...

IF one is logged into ASC, then goes to https://appleid.apple.com/ - one must login there again
IF one is NOT logged into ASC and IS logged into https://appleid.apple.com/, then navigates to ASC, one IS logged onto ASC (tested earlier today while researching for this thread)

My account (the one that redirects to the Manage..-page) is r......@mac.com (don't know if I can post it here or maybe in another private message if possible).

I'm a he 😉 using my aunts account (both from the Netherlands)

(Just for fun info: she's 81 y/old, for soms time using an iPad Mini, former used a big iPad 1, but it was too slow for her and the JW.ORG app she uses didn't work with iOS5 on it if I recall right.)

Ah, I think that might be one of the domains that you're not allowed to use as an AppleID, like iCloud.com or me.com, because it belongs to Apple. Rescue emails could end up in a circular loop for example. The AppleID is supposed to be attached to a different email address that isn't already part of Apple's empire.
