bought an app a couple of years ago; now it's unavailable in my downloads, App Store suggests that I pay for it again

hello! I bought a game called Elder Sign: Omens HD and made a couple of in-app purchases in 2014; then I deleted it because I needed space on my old iPad. now I'm unable to download it on my new one, because it seems like I've never bought it; App Store suggests that I pay for it again. the only proof that I actually used to own this app is a receipt (I no longer use this credit card though, but Apple ID is the same) and a ticket from customer support (I contacted them because I made an in-app purchase and was charged for it, but it never appeared in the game). is there anything I can do to fix this problem and download it again?

It doesn't show in the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad for redownloading, and if not, you've checked to see if you've hidden it from the cloud (Hide and unhide iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store purchases - Apple Support) ?

If it doesn't, and it isn't, then you are sure that it's the same app that you bought e.g. the developer hasn't removed your version and put a new app in the store, and it hasn't changed developers ?

thanks for the answer! I faced a new problem though: I checked my purchased tab and discovered that I own an app called Elder Sign: Omens (it's a low quality version for iPhone), but my receipt and support ticket definitely says that I bought a HD version; also, none of my in-app purchases are available in the app. the developers are same.

You could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can confirm which you bought - how does it show on your purchase history on your computer's iTunes, does that say the HD or iPhone version ? But if was the iPhone-version, any in-app purchases done in that are likely to be tied to that version of the app, unless the developer has made them global (assuming that's possible ; I'm not a developer so not sure) and/or can do something.

it says that it's an iPhone version. I tried to restore purchases, but it doesn't work.
