how to disable sending test message with effect?

The iPhone 6 doesn't have 3D Touch.

You can try Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce Motion>On. At one point that did disable it. Reports are that it may not any more.

Settings > general > accessibility > 3D Touch > off

This will also turn off other quirky features but it removes the effect from the text messaging entirely. Won’t allow your phone to do it.

I have the same problem. I went on YouTube and research it there are videos there that can help. I did so after I noticed no reply on here at the most thought about places possible Apple should be responding to these messages!

Go to settings General Assessiblity Reduce Motion I turned mine off because it was on so now I will see how that works. I hope this helps. Past present and future..

Has anyone ever responded with a viable solution to diabling this annoying "addition" to IOS 10? This is the most aggravating thing about my iPhone and I'm about to throw it in the trash. About 75% of the time, when I attempt to send a text, I get this idiotic "Send With Effect" pop up. NO, I DON'T WANT TO "Send With Effect". I just want to SEND. PLEASE tell me this can be disabled. (And PLEASE don't tell me I'm touching the **** screen to hard, I've tried BUTTERFLY touches and it still does the same **** thing.

P.S. PLEASE post the name of the programmer who pitched this to the people in the "Bread and Water" room at Apple.

Turning it to "ON" was what used disable the message effects. The fact that you did have it on and still had the effects means that the reports are correct, it doesn't solve the problem.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any other way to turn them off.

This is a user-to-user support forum. Apple's particpation here is minimal.

Exactly what I suggested back in November. And, as I noted then, reports are that it no longer works.

Try Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce Motion>On. Note that that will disable some other eye candy as well.

It sounds as if you may be pressing and holding the send button. If the person with whom your texting is also using iMessage and you press and hold the button, you'll get the effect option. Tap the little "x" to cancel it. Then, tap the send arrow, being careful not to hold it.

Driving me crazy too! I have followed the instructions a million time of Settings/General, etc. My Reduce Motion is turn on, the Auto-Play Message Effect turned off... but it's still doing it. Whoever came up with this.... argggghhhh!

Do not count on "Send with Effect" disappearing when you press the "x". I've spent frustrated minutes repeatedly pressing the "x", to no result. Whoever inserted that toy feature into iPhone 6 has little regard for busy users. 10.3.4 ought to improve or remove it.

I get that stupid "send with effect" thing almost every time I try to send a text message.. I turned off effects, but I still get the "send with effect" screen. When I try to close that out I lose the whole message, and Messages quits.

Hmmm, I’m running 11.1 and have no 3D to turn off.
