I sort my address book last name/first name. When messages app abbreviates the initials of the person I'm communicating with, it has them backwards. It should use initials in first name/last name order regardless of my sort order. Please change ASAP as it's not easy to use as it stands. Thank you!

Hi - if you go to Settings, Contacts, and scroll down, there are two choices: how to sort (by first or last name) and how to view (same.). You can chose to have it sort by last name, but view by first then last. Then close out, wait a bit (not sure why the delay, but the initials didn't change immediately) you should be all set.
