Can't get any metronome sound?

I sorry if this has been posted before. I did look through the past topics and could find anything that helped me. Anyway the problem is that I cant get the metronome to work in Logic Express 7.2.3 I have tried everything I can think of. I just want a click that gives me two bars count in and then continues through the track. I have clicked everything in the metronome settings but nothing. Any help would be great as I am going up the wall with this. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I have done a bit more fiddling about basically the problem I have is I'm using a Line 6 UX2 toneport as my I/O interface. The problem is that Logic seems to have two problems when using the direct monitoring with the UX2 you can't hear the metronome and if you try to use any VSTs or AUs they dont effect the sound you hear. I have tried all these thing through Ableton Live 5 and it all works as it should I can here the click and VSTs work perfectly.

Before you give up, there's another thing you can try. Select an unused Audio Instrument track in the Arrange window. In the box above the channel strip (the one with the name "Inst 1" or whatever) click on the Channel popup. It should open the list of all the instrument channels. Scroll all the way down and choose Instrument 64. This is where the Klopfgeist hides, and it should be the virtual instrument selected in the i/o section. Make sure the output you want for the click is selected for that channel.
