How do I enable Private browsing in Safari on my iPhone?
I recently installed iOS 10 and have noticed that I no longer have the option to select Private when in Safari.
Have I missed a setting or change?

Vernon,
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my original post. When I follow the steps outlined in the Apple Support article there is no "Private" appearing in the lower left corner of the screen.
Same here. The Private button/option button is no longer there.
Just found this in another section
"I have the same issue with my kids and their idevices. When iOS 7 came out and the Private option was easily found, suddenly I'm not seeing any browsing activity. I found this on another thread with the same question.
"In iOS 7 on the iPhone or ipad:
One way to do it is by adding a restriction on adult content. Click settings, restrictions (make a password), them scroll down to "websites" under allowed content (below the list of things to allow or not allow), then select "limit adult content." Poof... No more private browsing option in safari."
Works on my phone, now I just need to lock down theirs!"
Chceked mine and found it had been turned on during the iOS 10 upgrade. Fixed and Private browsing is now restored. Hope this works
