I recently got an iPhone5C from my dad, and for some reason, there aren't any internet browsers available right from the start. It should've had something like Safari. So, I went into the App Store to download Google Chrome, and the download was blocked. It wouldn't even let me click on "Get" or "Install". How do I fix this, so that I can browse the web on my phone?

It sounds like there may be some restrictions set on your phone. Go to settings> General> Restrictions> under allow make sure Safari is on. Under allowed content increase the age limit for apps. If you are asked for a restrictions passcode your dad may have set one and he will need to be the one to make the changes.

Is it possible that your father set the phone up this way for a reason? Why don't you take a moment to ask him why it is that you don't have a browser, or the ability to download one. Could it be your age, the fact he is restricting your usage, etc.? Need to look at all of the possibilities here.
Hardly. If he did set some form of restriction there, then it was meant for my youngest brother. This used to be his phone, before he gave it up. My dad then offered it to me. If he did set some restrictions, he forgot to change them for me.

My dad won't be removing it anytime soon. It's technically still his phone; he just let's me use it.
I just checked there. Restrictions weren't even Enabled in the first place. When I did enable them myself, I couldn't toggle access to it all the same.
